Eleanor Joyce Nataucappo

Eleanor Joyce Nataucappo passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the age of 65 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Amanda (Ryan) Palmer of Calgary, AB; Christina Friesen of Nanaimo, BC; Ryan (Kimberly Harris) Friesen of Ladysmith, BC; Robert LePrete of Edmonton, AB; Kennith Roy LePrete of Edmonton, AB; James LePrete of Edmonton, AB; Jennifer LePrete of Edmonton, AB; Roxanne Nee of Nanaimo, BC; Kimberley Nee of Nanaimo, BC and Marcella Nee of Calgary, AB; her grandchildren, Shelby Elizabeth, Riley Anthony, Ryan Alex, Kyle, Clarissa, Kasper, Karl, Sydney, Royce, Ellie, Amanda, Rosie, Emma, Shawn, and Gabrielle; Her siblings, Sylvia Dennis, Ruth Nataucappo, Johnny Natowcappo, Darcy Natowcappo, Sandara Natowcappo, Vanessa Nataucappo, Wayne Nataucappo and Glen Nataucappo as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan to Alma Twins and John Nataucappo. She was a survivor of residential schooling which she never let define her, or hold her down. Joyce was a fighter, who was a warrior of a woman. She enjoyed crafting and the simple things in life, such as diamond art, reading, second breakfast and hoots. She loved “Auntie” Music but most importantly, she loved her children, grandchildren, siblings and her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Alma Twins and John Nataucappo; her children, Candice Marie and Sarah Elizabeth; as well as her sister, Rose Nataucappo.
A Funeral Service will be held for Joyce at Pierson’s Funeral Service ( 4121 17th Avenue S.E Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 10:00 am.
