Her last words “I LOVE YOU ALL”

She is survived by her grandson Jeffrey Bogar (Jocelyn) and great-granddaughters Brooklyn and Reese; granddaughter Nicole Brubacher (Kyle) and great-grandchildren Ryder and Kaedynce; as well as her sisters Mary Mitchell (Frank), Betty Bezanson (Les), Patty Snoyer (Jack), and sister-in-law Barb Barkhouse; and nieces and nephews, Jillian Barkhouse, Andrew Barkhouse (Katelyn), Christine MacDonald (Steve), Cathy Hobbs (Jeff), Colin Mitchell (Marsha), Cynthia MacDonald, Suzanne Bouwman (Derek), April MacAlear (Terry), John, and Matthew, and all of their descendants. Genny was born and raised in Nova Scotia, where she trained to be a Registered Nurse in Halifax. In 1974, she met Mark at the Schwaben Club and they moved to Calgary in 1980 and established roots. Genny was a family person, she was generous, caring, and giving. She was always devoted to her work and enjoyed attending reunions with her nursing school classmates. She liked to crochet, draw, and create art with pencil crayons, and she loved dancing and especially Elvis. She was an animal person, and cared for many cats and dogs through her life. Genny was loved and respected, and will be dearly missed by many.
