Emmanuel Joseph Ouimette

Emmanuel Ouimette passed away at Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the age of 86 years. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon, Diane, William, Karin, Wayne & Marcel; 15 grandchildren, Martin, Roseanne, Richard, Shane, Rayleen, Shantal, Richie, Mitchell, Michael, Rebecca, Taylor, Crystal, Maria, Barbara & Rose; many, many great-grandchildren; one brother, Morris and extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Marion; two sons, Leon & Ricky; two grandchildren, Kirsten & Rose; and eight of his siblings, Omar, Leo, Andy, Francis, Adolf, Art, Mona & Blanche. 

Emmanuel was born in Ontario, moved back and forth to Alberta a few times before settling in Calgary with Marion to start a family. He worked all his life as a truck driver which took him away from home for stretches at a time but he also got to see the country during these trips. When he wasn't working, Emmanuel liked to keep busy doing puzzles. He also loved the outdoors - camping and fishing. 

A Memorial Service will be held for Emmanuel at Pierson's Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday March 12, 2025 at 2:00pm. 

Donations may be made in Emmanuel's name to Alzheimer's Calgary.
