Errol Allan Brown

On Wednesday, Novemeber 6, 2024 Mr. Errol Allan Brown of Calgary, Alberta passed away after a short battle with cancer at the age of 46 years.

Errol was born on Tuesday, January 24, 1978 to Allan Brown and Gaff Betty in St Thomas, Jamaica. 

Today we come to honor the life of Errol Allan Brown, a beloved friend, brother, cousin, son, nephew, and family member. Errol was known for his kindness, strength and unwavering positivity, He was a man who found joy even in the smallest moments, and showed us all how to love with resilience and grace.

From a young age Errol's life shined brightly. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. Those who know him remember his laughter, his love for life, and the way he found happiness in the simplest things. Errol's laughter was infectious, his smile was genuine, and his love was boundless. 

Family was everything to Errol, he believed in the importance of unity, love and respect. Errol taught us the value of sticking together. He led by his own example, loving fiercely and unconditionally. Every moment with Errol reminded us of what it means to be a family. 

Errol faced life’s challenges with incredible courage, especially during his short battle with cancer. Errol’s spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to show up for his loved ones with a smile. Errol reminded us all that no matter the hardship we can find the strength to keep going, to keep loving and to keep hoping.

Errol’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and inspiration. He touched so many lives with his words, his actions and his faith.

His memory will live on in each of us---in the lives he helped shape, and the hearts he inspired. His impact will not be forgotten.

Thank you Errol for everything you taught us, you’ll always be in our hearts. Thought we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that Errol is at peace, watching over us. We will carry his spirit forward with every little thing in our hearts knowing it’s going to be alright.

Errol is survived by his father Allan Brown; brothers Calvin Brown, Joshua Brown, Julian Brown, Andrew Brown, Romaine McTavish; sisters Marsha Roberts, Simone Lalor, Adjadene Dueck, Francene Gautron, Mercedes Brown, Lashana Ferril; aunts Ada Hayden, Cynthia Betty; uncles Lloyd and Glit Betty,  Simon Brown; cousins Jackie McNab, Troy and Tevin Taylor, DJ and Daniellia McNab, Johanna Brown, Dwayne and Brian Hayden, Devron (Neil) Brown plus his children Dev Jr, David, Donovan, Thalia, Daishon, Dante, Daija, Amaya, Davanni, Davion, Dereon, Dewan, Cousteau, Danae, Steven, Ricarlo, David, Daniel Betty; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

Errol was predeceased by his mother Gaff Betty; grandmother Joyce Brown; and sisters Melissa and Marcia Brown. 

The family of Errol would like to thank you for your support and prayers during this difficult time. Your words of comfort and kindness are greatly appreciated. We would also like to give a special thanks to Pierson’s Funeral Home for taking care of Errol.

A Celebration of Errol's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024 from Pierson's Funeral Service Ltd., 4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta.  Cremation at Foothills Crematorium.
