Erzsebet “Elizabeth” Dvorak (Nee Makkai)
October 15, 1943 — May 8, 2023
Elizabeth Dvorak passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the age of 79 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Judy (John) Fingas; granddaughter Kristin (Brad); grandsons Jesse and Shayne; brother Sandor; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Tibor and son Ted.
Elizabeth was born in Czepel, Hungary in 1957 during the Hungarian Revolution. The family fled Hungary and immigrated to Canada. It was in Calgary where she met the love of her life Tibor with whom she had two children, Judy and Ted. Elizabeth was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved music and enjoyed singing and dancing.
Elizabeth’s family would like to send sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre for their care and compassion during her stay.
At Elizabeth’s request, no formal services will be held.
