On Wednesday, March 31, 2021 Mrs. Eva Homer, beloved wife of the late Kenneth William Pedersen, of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 81 years.
Eva s survived by her children, Sherry Homer of Calgary, Clayton Homer of Calgary, Shane (Kathy) Homer of Cochrane and Candy (Mike) Koelle of Calgary; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lynn Anderson of Calgary, Sid Anderson (Jen) of Wayne, AB, Laura Lee McIlhargey (Ross) of Calgary & Nonie Hughes of Arizona. She is predeceased by her parents, Stoyle & Mary; brother, Ray Anderson and sister, Beth Wood.
Eva was born in Boissevain, MB. She raised her 4 children in Calgary as a single mom after the death of her first husband, Joseph Homer. She worked as a cook and counselor in a halfway house for 25 years before retiring to pursue hobbies. She grew roses and tended her flower beds with Ken Pedersen, her partner for over 40 years. Eva and Ken loved to take the grandchildren camping. Eva also enjoyed listening to her music…loudly and reading a good book. She had a great sense of humour and was a force to be reckoned with.
