Felipe Vargas passed away peacefully on Friday February 11, 2022 at the age of 86 years.
Felipe was born in Aringay, Philippines and was from a large family of 11 siblings. He is predeceased by his parents, Catalino & Leoncia as well as 6 of his siblings. Felipe will be greatly missed by his wife, Francisca; children, Julie (Len), Ray (Minda), Jhun (Estella), Juvylyn (Sam), Jonalyn (Marloun), Mary Anne & Don (Maribel); 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 4 of his siblings along with many extended family and friends in Canada and the Philippines.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday February 22 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Prayers will begin at 6:00pm. A livestream of the visitation and prayers can be accessed at the following

It was Felipe’s wish to return home to the Philippines where a funeral service will take place at a later date. Burial will be a Aringay Memorial Cemetery, Philippines.
