Florence Leona Sonnleitner was born on Monday May 6, 1940, in Saskatchewan, and was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was as welcoming as her open door, offering a safe space to all who needed it. Florence embodied kindness, generosity, and warmth. She spent 30 years serving as the Night Supervisor at Bow Valley Lodges, where her caring nature made a lasting impact on the residents and staff alike.
A profound lover of life, Florence found joy in the simple pleasures. She loved traveling to new destinations, relishing moments spent playing cards with family and friends, and quietly observing the beauty of birds and flowers in nature. Afternoons were often reserved for cherished coffee dates around the kitchen table with friends, where much laughter and stories were shared and sometimes in solitude with the company of resident chickadees.
