Miller, Frances Madonna September 28, 1932 – June 29, 2014
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Frances Madonna Miller on June 29, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Frances is remembered by her children Jackie Poitros (Ron Torborg), Dayna (Allan) Jensen, Tracy Pugh, Trent (Deb Wall) Pugh. Brent Pugh, and Raymond (Lindsey) Matkovich; grandchildren Melany (Brent) Norberg, Jim Gaspari, Jim Hansen (Cindy Punch), Jamie Hansen, Darrell (Kim) Kennedy, Deanna Jensen, Lisa (Brandon) Gerritsen, Haylee Jenson, John (Kim) Enns, Sasha (Nick) Robertson, Cooper Matkovich, and all of their families; siblings Orlon “Uncle Bud” (Fern) Miller, Florence “Auntie Sis” (Ken) Stevenson, Fred (Lois) Miller, and Mina (Al) Rittenger. Frances is predeceased by her parents Maria Wedhorn and Walter John Miller; and son Jim Pugh. Frances loved to watch sports, especially curling. She enjoyed playing cards with cribbage being the family game of choice. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to dance. Frances was a joker and loved to laugh. Frances absolutely loved to play bingo. She was a talented cook and baker – her homemade perogies, noodles and flapper pie were very special treats. Frances was very set in her ways! She did not back down in her teachings that ‘you have your way, I have my way and as for the right way or correct way or only way – they do not exist’. She believed in action not words. She believed in making amends not apologies. Frances helped numerous people in their time of need and strived to teach what she could whether they were able to accept it or not. Frances was spiritual and we know she is at peace with her higher power.
We love you dearly mom, you will be forever in our hearts, our minds, our thoughts and our actions.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, Courage to change the things I can And the wisdom to know the difference. Living ONE DAY AT A TIME; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as a pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right If I surrender to His will; So that I be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen
