Quietly and suddenly, our dear partner, uncle and friend left us for the ether of parts unknown.
A wartime baby, born in Winnipeg, Frank was the second youngest of six in a lively Irish Catholic family. After his first marriage and the birth of his children – Tara and Sean – Frank indulged his love of travel and later settled in British Columbia and, finally, Alberta.
Frank has been treasured for his searing wit, easy charm, and gift of the gab. He was a gentle soul who never judged and always made you feel welcome. An unabashed “hippie,” his favourite epithets remained “far out” and “right on.” His fine energy has left us far too soon.
Frank is lovingly remembered by his wife Janet Carlson, nieces and nephews across Canada and the States, and a galaxy of friends. In lieu of a service, please pour a glass of rich red wine, put on some Boz Scaggs and toast his memory.
