Frank Kurta passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the age of 58 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters CherylAnn (Blake) Albert of Sweetgrass Reserve First Nation, SK, and Dacey Kurta (Christopher) of Langley, BC; grandchildren Nick, George, Max and Eve; father Frank (Irene) Kurta of Rimbey, AB; siblings Terry (Terry) Lemieux of High River, AB, Sandra Kurta (Joe) Claresholm, AB, Danny (Chris) Homes of High River, AB, Joseph Delorme of Calgary, AB and Frank Kurta; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Edith Marcella Plamondon and brother James Kurta.
Frank was born and raised in Calgary, AB. He lived his life both in AB and SK. He was a Stuccoer and Plasterer by trade and would of worked to his last day had he not gotten sick. Frank was an avid fan of the Flames, Stampeders and the BlueJays. He also loved the tranquility of fishing and listening to music. Franks family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Foothills hospital and High River Hospital, especially their favorite nurse Scott, for the excellent care shown to him.
A Funeral Service will be held for Frank at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
