Frank Warkentin

Frank graduated from this life to heaven in the early morning of August 29, 2023 at the age of 78. He was born in Lethbridge AB, and grew up in Magrath, AB with his eight brothers and one sister. He later moved to Grande Prairie, AB to live with his aunt Agnes. He met the love of his life Lynn, in his last year of high school. They were married August 1968 and moved to Calgary, AB shortly thereafter.

They have two children, Sheila and Dale; five grandchildren, Kevin, Bethany, Jordan, Sharon, and Kate; and four great-grandchildren, Marshal, Riley, Sydney, and Mackenzie.

Frank loved the Lord, his wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was all about the 3 P’s: prophecy, politics, and pasta. He had a long successful career in accounting, and in his spare time enjoyed the mountains, camping with his family, and riding his many bicycles.

He was a man of God, who sought to serve the Lord. Frank was a gifted evangelist and teacher, serving in adult Sunday school, Awana, quizzing ministry, and facilitating the Love and Respect study with his wife.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Florilla; his father, John; and his brothers, Skyler and Walter.

A Memorial Service will be held for Frank at  Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel ( 8241 31 Street SE Calgary, AB) on September 5, 2023 at 1:30 pm with a reception to follow.
