Georgina Corrigan passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Foothills Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Pat) Hamilton, Jacquie (Larry) Dyck and Rhonda (Serge) Plante; step-son Derek (Kathy) Corrigan; adopted son Juan “Amigo” Lopez; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; sister Shirley (George) Hesleton; brother Ronald (Stephanie) Whitney; sister-in-law Peggy (Howie) Nadeau; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Corrigan; parents George & Pauline Whitney, daughter Linda Matchett and siblings Evelyn Taylor, Ernie Whitney and June Whitney. Georgina will be remembered by many as “Mom” or “Gramma” from the years she owned and operated Rollerland in SE Calgary. Georgina was a Girl Guide leader while her daughters were involved in Brownies and Guides. She was a very proud Military wife. Georgina loved to play cards and travel but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held for Georgina at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 am, interment will follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
