Gerald (Gerry) Keith Smith

We regret to announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, and friend Gerry Smith. Gerry was a gifted mechanic, a dedicated cattle rancher for over 30 years, and most recently, the operations manager of Traveland RV’s Airdrie location. Those who knew Gerry best would say he was as stubborn as they come-but also kind, funny, generous, and overly fond of black pepper.

Gerry married Karen (nee Isaacson) in 1971. Over the next 25 years they had many adventures-and two daughters. Later, Gerry and his partner Rita spent years together in their shared love of ranching.

Gerry enjoyed traveling, whiskey, working with his hands, riding (both horses and motorbikes), patiently watching Canucks games, and spending time with those he loved.

Gerry was predeceased by his father Keith Fern Smith and mother Evelyn Marie Smith (nee Kivell). He is survived by his daughters Bethany Smith and Jessica (husband Will) Crewe; his stepdaughters Lynn (husband Mike; sons Stran and Kash) Lievers and Amber (husband Jim; sons Johnny and Kenny) Malm; his brother Gordon (wife Karen) Smith; his nieces Shauna and Deanna; his nephew Brent, and their families; as well as many extended family members and too many friends to list them all here.
