Geri Taylor passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the age of 57 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tasha Taylor and Michael Taylor (Alexandra); granddaughter Leila Taylor; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ken & Isabel McKay. Geri was born and raised in Halifax, NS. After receiving her Bachelors of Arts and then Education from St. Mary’s University, she moved to Calgary and became a Teacher for the Catholic School Board. She was a member of the Alberta Teachers Association for over 30 years. Geri was also a proud member of St. Thomas Moore Parish. She loved sunny vacations, especially on the beach, reading books and shopping. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her granddaughter Leila. Prayer Services will be held for Geri at St. Thomas Moore Parish, 15 Templebow Road NE, on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Geri at the same location, on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Pinto, OCD celebrant. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids Society, #315, 223 12 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0G9.
