Gloria Berriault passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the age of 73 years surrounded by family.
Gloria was born in Spirit River, Alberta on October 13, 1949, she left the family farm and ventured to Vancouver to pursue a career as a hairdresser, and later trained as a nursing assistant. She settled in Calgary where she began a family. She had three children and four grandchildren which she adored. She had a passion for baking, gardening, and enjoyed her weekly bingo adventures.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nicole (Cory) and Holly; Gloria’s grandchildren, Cheyenne, Savannah, Preston, Isaiah, brothers John and George; her ,extended family, and the many friends she made throughout her life. She is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Mike; sister, Julia; and son, Shane.
A Memorial Service will be held for Gloria at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
