Gloria Doreen Mcmahon

February 4, 1946 — August 9, 2020

Gloria McMahon (nee Phillips) passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the age of 74 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her common-law husband Rob Moggah; daughter Corinne McMahon; son Kevin McMahon; sisters Rose Jeffels and Patricia Phillips; brothers Robert “Shorty” Phillips, Tim Phillips and Glenn Phillips; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur & Emma Phillips and sister Terry Phillips.

Gloria was a free spirited woman with a child like wonder that never faded with time. Energetic and passionate about her beliefs, She was grateful for the smallest gifts and was always willing to share whatever she had to give…she made friends so easily and was a very generous friend and mother. Gloria loved animals and especially birds…gloria was an exceptionally compassionate woman who suffered when others suffered and always wanted to ensure her family and friends comfort and happiness if she could. She loved her entire family unconditionally and was always willing to forgive…and always willing and eager to learn and she had the biggest most loving heart when it came to her kids. I think I want her to be known and remembered as someone you could always reach out to and receive empathy, help and friendship. Also, she had an extremely healthy sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved nature and found beauty in things most might not notice. I think its important to note that my mother was a Christian (Jehovah’s Witness) for most of her life and although not always able to participate or attend meetings she was adamant and faithful in her beliefs….mom, I want you to know that we will be ok, but will never be able to forget you..we love you so much and you were so brave through all of it. I’m so proud of you! We will see you again soon. ❤

Gloria’s family would like to thank the staff of both the Foothills Medical Center and Dulcina Hospice for the kind and compassionate care shown to their mother. At Gloria’s request, no formal services will be held.
