Gostha Behari Pradhan

PRADHAN, Gostha Behari January 14, 1945 – June 23, 2013 Gostha Pradhan passed away on June 23, 2013 at the age of 68 years. He is survived by a son Ayon Pradhan; a daughter Romita Pradhan (Joe Bosch); and a large extended family in India. Gostha was born and raised in West Bengal, India. After completing a Master’s Degree in Engineering, he worked in the Pharmaceutical profession. During the mid 1980s he worked on a significant economic project for the United Nations. Following the implementation of this project, he and his family immigrated to Calgary, Canada where he began using his engineering expertise as a consultant in the Oil & Gas sector. Gostha retired in 1998 after becoming ill. Gostha was a brilliant and interesting man. He was a great cook, loved music and poetry, and enjoyed playing bridge. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel, 16 Avenue & 100 St./Garden Road NE (within the Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery) on Saturday, June 13, 2013 at 2:30 pm.
