Grant Philip Stewart

Grant Stewart passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the age of 70 years.

Grant will be deeply and sadly missed by his brother, Brian (Linda) Stewart; his nephews and nieces, Shawn (Patricia) Stewart of Ottawa, Ontario, Erin (Dan) Reid of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Jill Stewart (Mitchell Haskins) of St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Brad (Sandra) Stewart of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Lana (Neran) Stewart of Bergen, Alberta, Stephanie (Scott) Stewart of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Suzanne Stewart, Rainy (Angela) Stewart, Reynolds Blackwater and Khali Stewart all of Calgary, Alberta; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends. Grant was predeceased by his parents, Erminie and Samuel Stewart; and brother, Garry Stewart.

Grant will forever be remembered for his love of sports, especially basketball. He was a member of the Alberta Basketball Officials Association. For his contributions in the education and development of officials, he was awarded the Winx Willox Award of Merit in 1997 and an honourary Life Award in 2011. His nieces and nephews will always remember the stories he told about travelling for training clinics and his time working for the Calgary 88’s basketball team.
