Calgary

Greg Glenn passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Rockyview Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 74 years.  Greg will be dearly missed by his wife Roxanne Glenn; their six children:  Megan and Shawn Sundberg of Hayden, ID and their children Seth, Max, Roxie, Jesse & Gavin & granddaughter Addison; Anna Glenn of Calgary; Jesse and Tamanda Glenn of Calgary and their children Georgia, Bailey, Harper, Baker and Cooper (deceased 2014); Kyle and Pam Glenn of Calgary and their children Leah, Griffin, Owen, Ian, Hudson & Zoey; Marcus Glenn of Calgary; Lauren and Clay Kurtz of Kingston, ON and their children Aidan, Oliver & Lewis.  Greg is also survived by his brothers and sisters Richard Glenn (Sue) of Calgary, Tom Glenn (Cynthia) of Calgary, Shelley Stevens (Tex) of Payson, UT and Cori Davidsen (Kelwood) of Calgary; a large extended family including Roxanne's family; and many dear friends.

Greg was born in Edmonton and moved to Calgary with his family when he was 8.  He attended Viscount Bennett High School and then served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern Indian Mission, where he served the Indigenous Community.  He attended Rick's College for two years (playing on the football team) and then attended BYU where he met and married the love of his life Roxanne Godfrey in 1975.  During these many summers, Greg went north to "work on the rigs" like many young men in that era. After graduating with a Bachelors of Business Management from BYU, Greg and Roxanne moved to Calgary where they settled and raised their family.

Greg began his professional career working with Proctor and Gamble, took his talents to Olivier's Chocolates for a short time until he settled in the career he loved as a commercial realtor.  Greg enjoyed all aspects of the real estate world and loved finding the right property, for the right people and putting together the right deal. He was a natural and worked for the same firm Cushman Wakefield until his cancer diagnosis in December of 2013.

Greg had many interests and was an enthusiastic fan & longtime season ticket holder of the Calgary Stampeders.  He loved cycling and has logged thousands of miles cycling around the Glenmore Reservoir.  He also enjoyed basketball and coached many teams for his children in their school years.  Greg loved people and made deep and lasting friendships, reaching out in his loving, caring way.  He was fun and loved to laugh!! Greg had a testimony of Jesus Christ and was a devoted, dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in numerous callings over his lifetime.  While he served in many leadership callings, he would also be found cleaning and putting away chairs after others had left, and quietly helped many individuals in need.

Greg adored his wife Roxanne and loved his family, teaching by example, supporting and guiding them throughout their lives. He would boast of his family and tell you they were his greatest legacy. Oh how we will miss him.
