Guy Elford passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 58 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years Christine; six children Scott (Tisha) Elford, Marc (Kimberly) Elford, McKay (Mette) Elford, Kristine (Sam) Medina, Sarah (Landon) Stockdale and Amanda (Daniel) Oler; seventeen grandchildren Madison, Ryan, Tylen, Jaxson, Logan, Evan, Katelyn, Brayden, Emmie, Lucas, Jensen, Oliver, Karis, Kyle, Robby, Elliot and Jack; mother Barbara Elford; brother Eric (Susan) Elford; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Terry Elford and brother Scott Elford.
Guy was born in Salmon Arm, BC and moved around a bit for much of his younger years before ending up in Salt Spring Island, BC. He moved to Prince George for school and then settled in Edmonton to find work. While in Edmonton he met the love of his life, Christine. They were married in 1982 in the Cardston Alberta Temple and they have been blessed with 6 children. The gospel was central and directed his life as they eventually made Calgary and then Cochrane their home. Guy loved music and martial arts and was a lifelong learner. He was an entrepreneur and a helicopter pilot, but his most treasured titles were husband and father. Guy had 3 life mottos; have I done any good; work hard, play hard; and do no harm. He left a lifelong legacy of service and sacrifice to all who needed help.
