Gwendoline Margaret Wood (nee Dickson)

Gwendoline Wood passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the age of 79.

She was born in England but came to Canada with her parents at the age of 2 years old. She grew up in North Vancouver and resided in Calgary, Alberta.

Gwendoline is survived by her brother, Al Dickson; sister, Donna Yuille; daughters, Tracey Corbett and her late husband John Seitz, and Sharon (Greg) Sarchfield; grandchildren, Jade Seitz, Shelina Corbett, Kayla Phillips, Jesse Wiltse, Cody Phillips, and Jewlia McClelland; great-grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Her love for her family was like no other, she gave and gave to her family, without question. She never went unnoticed in a room, from her crazy hair to her crazy clothes, to her fun-loving attitude. No matter the situation she would always try to make light out of it. She was tough as nails, and we all thought she would outlive all of us.

As she would always say “Just remember, I’ll always love you.”

A Memorial Service will be held for Gwendoline at Pierson's Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
