Irene Christine Macaller

MacALLER, Irene Christine December 27, 1950 February 13, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Irene MacAller on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 61 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary (Tom) MacDonald, Winifred (Garry) Knoll and Ellen Hazell, all of Calgary; brothers Joseph MacAllar (Rose) and John MacAllar (Amy) both of PEI; dear friend Carol McCaughey; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Mark & Ivy MacAllar and brother-in-law Greg Hazell. Irene was born in Charlottetown, PEI and moved to Calgary in 1973. She worked at AGT for many years and then went into business on her own. Irene spent the last five years in Bragg Creek where she enjoyed the solitude of country living. All who knew her have been blessed by her friendliness, humour and generosity. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Irene’s life at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 17 Avenue SE, on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Alberta, 6007 1A Street SW, Calgary, AB T2H 0G5.
