Jack Francis Moody

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandpa, John Moody, on February 28, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Norma Blamire Moody; children Gail of Calgary, Karen of Sparwood, BC and Adam (Kim) of Summerland, BC; grandchildren Victoria Mamie, Jordan Francis, Mark Francis and Alexandra Yvonne; four legged companion Chloe; siblings, Betty of New Zealand, Dennis(Carol) and Diane of England; brother-in-law Michael (Marion) of England; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Mark in 1995. John was born and bred in Leeds, Yorkshire, England which explains both his dry, but witty, sense of humour and his love of Coronation Street. He met and married the love of his life, and his favourite person to tease, Norma in Yorkshire and they started their family there. After being blessed with four children, John and Norma decided they needed to move to Canada to provide a better life for their children and they have made Calgary their home since 1973. His main focus in life was his family and he was happiest when we were all together. We will most remember him for the love he had for us and the way he showed it. “Cheer Up” At John’s request, there will be no funeral services.
