Jackie (Jackqueline) Ann Rosenquist

On Sunday, November 17, 2024 Jackie Rosenquist, beloved wife of Mel Carson, of Carseland, Alberta passed away at the age of 62 years.

Jackie was born in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan to Rita and Allan Rosenquist. She moved with her family to Kelowna, British Columbia where Jackie grew up. In 1976, she moved to Calgary. In her younger years Jackie played softball, raced snowmobiles, and drove in a smash up derby. She loved the outdoors. In her late 20's, Jackie fulfilled her dream of becoming a Mom. Her children and family meant everything to her. Later in life Jackie met the love of her life, Mel. They were travel buddies, and shared a love for cats. Jackie loved attending her grandson Cooly's events, sports, etc. She worked her entire life, and in the last few years Jackie finally found her work people at Strathmore's Canada Post. Jackie loved her coworkers and loved being with her family. She never missed a family gathering. Jackie had an amazing sense of humour and quick wit. She loved making people laugh, and always lending a helping hand. The world is a better place because of Jackie.

Besides her loving husband, Mel, of 17 years, Jackie is survived by her children Austin Calhoun and his wife Christina of Okotoks, Alberta, Teela Calhoun of Calgary, Alberta; one grandchild Couloir (Cooly) Calhoun of Okotoks; siblings Ronda Rosenquist-Winfield and her husband Kevin Winfield of Calgary, Karl Rosenquist and his wife Stephanie of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Sherri Carson-Duggan and her husband Alec of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dean Carson and his wife Sherri of Edmonton, Alberta; and other relatives Cindy Rosenquist - Lattery, Ginger Rosenquist - Yakielashek, Justin Rosenquist-Yakielashek, Brady Rosenquist, Bryce Rosenquist, Owen Carson - Duggan, and Parker Carson - Duggan. 

Jackie is predeceased by her father Allan Rosenquist, mother Rita Rosenquist (nee Ching), and brother Iver Rosenquist.

A Celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from Parkridge Estates Community Hall, 222 Burroughs Circle NE, Calgary, Alberta.
