It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kenzie’s companion, Jaisyne Aiyonna Lefthand, at the age of 26 years. She was a daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend to us.
Jaisyne was born in Calgary, Alberta, and attended Morley Community School and Exshaw School. She worked at Minor’s Café in Nordegg for a summer job. She honoured her Stoney Nakoda Culture and Traditions, and was fluent in her language. Jaisyne was making dry meat at the age of 5 years old with family, and participated as a fancy dancer on the Pow Wow Trail. She also loved singing Round Dance and Pow Wow songs. Jaisyne also enjoyed taking part in Sports, playing baseball, hockey and volleyball. She was a hard worker, selfless, kind, gentle and humble with a generous spirit. Her best times were playing with her nieces and nephews. Jaisyne loved to joke and laugh with family and friends. She also had unconditional love for her family and friends.
