James Kurta passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the age of 56 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sheralle (Robert), Chris (Karen), Jeff (Kristy) and Kim (Travis); grandchildren, Jordan (Amanda), Cassie, Matrix, Alexis, Taiylor, Tyson and Cody; great granddaughter Brooklynn; siblings Terry (Terry), Frank, Sandra (Joe) and Danny (Chris); and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Marcella, grandparents and uncle. James was born in Olds and raised in Calgary. He loved sports, and the Habs and the Stampeders were his favorite teams. His other great love was his family and especially spending time with his grandkids. A Funeral Service will be held for James at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel (16 Avenue & Garden Road / 100 Street NE, Calgary, in Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery) on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
