Jason William Oliver

September 8, 1973 — January 10, 2021

Jason Oliver passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the age of 47 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years Christina; children Emma Oliver, Hunter Oliver, both of Calgary, AB, Zachery Barnes (Amy) of Calgary, AB, Brody Wachter (Leena) of Edmonton, AB, Kyle Temple of New York, NY, Angela Marier (Paul) of Windsor, ON, and Alexander Barnes of Calgary, AB; granddaughter Sienna-Rae; parents Brian & Brenda Oliver; sisters Jennifer Meade (Glen) of Noonan, NB and Jodi Oliver of London, ON; and many more family and friends.

Jason was born and raised in London, ON. He met the love of his life Christina in 1999 and they were married within the month. Jason joined the Canadian Army in 2000 and was stationed at CFB Borden. He was eventually transferred to Alberta where they stayed after he finished serving in 2007 making Calgary their home. Jason was a family man. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He was talented, smart, loving, kind and caring and always saw the best in everyone. He would help anyone despite all the demons he was fighting. He was loved by so many.

Jason wasn’t afraid of being weird or different and taught his children that it was ok to be that way. He loved horror movies and anything Halloween. He built an award winning haunted house, The Haunted Wastelands, every year that would draw thousands. Jason will be so dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held for Jason on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm, you can join the webcast of the service by clicking the link below. A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 pm for those that wish to pay their respects to Jason. Please submit a “Hugs From Home” message on www.piersons.ca home page and we will fill the chapel with balloons for those that cannot attend the service in person.
