Jean V. Oliver (Nee Holbrook)
October 21, 1939 — September 4, 2021
It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of our precious Mum, Jean Oliver, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 81.
Jean was born in Clacton-on-Sea, England and immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 13. She married the love of her life, Terry, at 17 after which they remained inseparable for 62 years. They built a beautiful life together while raising 3 children in Marda Loop in Calgary. She was a caring, strong and funny lady who was a talented knitter, loved sweets, enjoyed travelling and had a delightful sense of humour.
She was predeceased by her parents Doris and Henry Holbrook, brothers David Holbrook, Phillip Holbrook, Brian Holbrook, and her beloved husband, Terry Oliver. She is survived by her brother Allan, her heartbroken children Sandra Oliver (Kim McLean), Janet Armand (Pat) and Ian Oliver (Joanna Petty) as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
We are forever grateful for the care she received at AgeCare Glenmore and on Unit 94 of the Rockyview Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Anglican Parish of St. Mark and St. Philip, 1802-33
