Johannes V Pedersen

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Johannes Vestergaard Pedersen announces his passing at the age of 81. His presence will be missed by his Partner of 6 years, Phyllis Yassinsky. He is survived by his children Robert, Shirley Fenton (Charles), Karen Brown; also his brother Harry (Pat) of Leduc AB, and his Grandchildren and Great grandchildren. John was a refrigeration mechanic for over 30 years. After retiring from this industry, he became an Instructor for SAIT teaching Pre-Employment of Refrigeration with no formal teaching education. John was a dedicated member of the #275 Forest Lawn Legion for over 35 years. He participated in activities at the Legion such as curling, bowling and shuffleboard. He would volunteer his time, visiting the Veterans and the people in the nursing homes. He was always happy and willing to help anyone in any way possible. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by each and everyone who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at the Forest Lawn Legion branch #275 (755 40 Street SE) from 1:00 4:00PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta 100, 119 14 street NW, Calgary AB, T2N 1Z6.
