John Donovan Mackenzie, known to most as Donovan, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the age of 44 years. He is survived by his sons Nathan and Daniel; mother Elizabeth; sisters Katherine & Alison; brother Bruce; nieces; nephews; and life long friends. He was predeceased by his younger brother Daniel.
Donovan had a joy for life. He loved the outdoors and riding his bike all over the city. He had an immense passion for agriculture and could bring any plant to life. Donovan loved spending time with his friends and wished he could have spent more time with his family and sons.
Your charm and silliness will be truly missed my friend.
A Funeral Service will be held for John at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
Due to the gathering restrictions, attendance for the service will be for immediate family only and so those wishing to participate from home can do so by clicking the link below.
