John Senger

It is with deep regret we announce John’s passing at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Saturday, October 29 at the age of 82 years. John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eva; his daughters, Darlene (Dwain), Denise (Dick), and Bonnie (Tom); his sons, Jim (Brenda) and Kevin (Stacey); sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his siblings, Margaret, Pius, Frieda, Adeline and Louise. He was predeceased by his parents Nelz and Philomenia, his brother Eugene and his sister Rose. John grew up in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan before moving to Calgary in 1956. John’s legacy will live on in the memories of all those who had the pleasure to have known him through his love and compassion for his family and friends. Dad we feel honored to have known you, privileged to have walked beside you and blessed to have loved you. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at the Santuari Hospice in Unit 42 as they were John’s angels during the past three weeks. Prayer Service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45 Street SE) on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the same location on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Joseph An Dang, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5 or to the Santuari Hospice, c/o Calgary Health PLC Site Office, Room 1032 3500 26 Ave NE, Calgary, AB, T1Y 6J4 (Please include in memory of John Senger).
