Josef “Joe” Seifriedsberger

Josef “Joe” Seifriedsberger passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the age of 94 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse of 12 years Inge Romih; sister-in-law Anna Seifriedsberger, of Eberschwang, Austria; niece Ingrid (Helmut) Frühauf, of Eberschwang, Austria; great nieces Brigit Görger-St Jorgen, and her family of Graz, Austria, and Eva Frühaut, and her family of Eberschwang, Austria; and many more family and friends both in Canada, Austria and Germany. Joe was predeceased by his wife Anna and brother Johann.

Joe was born and raised in Sankt Peter am Hart, Austria. In 1954 he moved to Canada, eventually settling in Calgary. He was a carpenter and was very skilled at his trade. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, skiing, hiking, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed singing in the Heimatecho choir and getting together with his Austrian friends for their weekly lunch get-togethers.

A Funeral Service will be held for Joe at the Austrian Canadian Club (3112 – 11 Street NE, Calgary) on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
