CUEVAS, Juan Bautista Segundo October 20, 1931 August 12, 2012

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Juan Cuevas announces his passing at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 60 years, Fidelisa Diaz; his children Alejandro (Joan), Graciela (Larry), Clara, Cecilia (Roberto), and Manny; his grandchildren Derek, Mark, Michael (Jeanne), Cynthia (Jen’s), David and Sandra; his great granddaughter Evianna; as well as brothers and sisters in Chile and Argentina and numerous extended family. Juan was born in Ovalle, Chile and worked at the Santiago Faculty of Medicine. In 1977 he and his family moved to Canada. He was an avid boxer fan and loved to dance the tango with his wife. While Juan will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his fun spirit, above all else he was a family man. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was his number one priority. He will be missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to a visitation service at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel (16 Ave and Garden Road/100 St NE) on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
