Julie Donene Gail Johnson

Donene Johnson passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 59 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Darcell Saunders (Candice), Chanel Saunders and Brandymae Saunders; grandchildren Adanya, Tichawn, Tristan, Thaison, Anthony, Adrielle, Areigha, Arijahmae, Jaden, Kirra and Hailey; sisters Deborah Johnson and Dianne Johnson; brother Bertram Johnson; greatest confidant and lifelong friend Gene Drummond; and many more family and friends. 

Donene was born in Toronto, ON, and raised in Calgary, AB. She was blessed with three children, Darcell, Chanel and Brandymae. She enjoyed music, crime television and cooking, but her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy. Donene will be remembered as a Diva, as she loved to dress up, be elegant and enjoy family gatherings. 

A Funeral Service will be held for Donene at Pierson's Funeral Service (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
