On Friday, November 1, 2024, Karen Reid, beloved wife and best friend of Brian Reid of 51 years passed away at home with her family by her side, at the age of 70 years.
Karen was born in Chatham, Ontario to Lorrayne and Roy Vincent. She loved sports, her favourite teams were the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, and the San Francisco 49ers. Karen loved to cook and organize all the events for family functions and holidays. Her home that she designed and decorated was her favourite space (kingdom) where she sat in her special chair (her throne as Brian called it) watching all of her kids, grandkids and great grandkids enjoy the special events. Karen was also an avid reader of authors like Grisham, Connelly and Patterson, and books that referenced anything sports related.
Besides her loving husband Brian, Karen is survived by her children Kristin Reid-Martin (Lyle) of Calgary, Kelly Reid of Calgary, Mike Reid (Tori) of Airdrie, Alberta; eight grandchildren Kennedie Kevorkyan (Mikhail) of Leduc, Alberta, Keely Fawcett (Jose) of Calgary, Brittany Reid of Calgary, Jacob Robert - Nolette of Calgary, Zakkary Martin of Calgary, Nathaniel Reid of Airdrie, Ethan Reid of Airdrie, Andrew Reid of Airdrie; two great grandkids Harper Kevorkyan of Leduc and Elliana Ulloa of Calgary; siblings Terry Vincent (Maureen) of Regina, Saskatchewan, Brenda Vincent of Chatham, Ontario; other family, Shelby Vincent (Tanner) of Regina, Saskatchewan, and Jennifer Vincent (Jon) of Chatham, Ontario; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Karen is predeceased by her parents, Lorrayne and Roy "Bud" Vincent, and two brothers, Bradley Vincent and Robb Vincent.
No formal service will be held. Cremation will take place at Foothills Crematorium.
