Kevin Donald Hesch, beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on July 14, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 61.
Kevin is survived by his daughter Justine Hesch and her mother, Lorrie, as well as his father, Donald Hesch; his brother and sister, Ted Hesch (Terry) and Donna Sellinger (Ray); nieces and nephews Kendra Pearson (Cory), Kelly Murray (Jon), Kirk Hesch (Lea), Dionne Sellinger (Chris), Gina Duguid (Lance) and Lacey Sellinger (Troy), as well as numerous
treasured
great nieces and nephews.
His mother, Dorothy Hesch, and many cherished relatives predeceased him.
Kevin was born on May 8, 1961 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. As the youngest child, he was well-loved and doted on by his family and older siblings. Fearless and full of life, Kevin was always active in numerous sports like hockey, baseball, golf and track and field. He had a “need for speed” and a passion for cars and motorcycles.
His adventurous spirit and wanderlust took him from Shaunavon to Medicine Hat, Victoria, Kelowna and Calgary. His bright energy made him a natural salesman, and his positive, optimistic spirit was contagious.
A naturally gifted musician, he could always be found with a guitar in hand leading the family jam session. Kevin loved life, he loved his amazing family, but the biggest love of his life was his daughter Justine.
The hole he has left in our lives will never be filled, but the memories of his kind, generous and goofy spirit will bring his friends and family comfort for a lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at South Block BBQ and Brewing (2437 4 St SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2S 1X5) beginning at 4 PM MT.
As most of you know, Kevin was known for his great sense of style. Please consider wearing your wildest dress shirt or print in his honor.
“We said we’d walk together baby, come what may
There come the twilight should we lose our way
If as we’re walking, hands should slip free
I’ll wait for you
Should I fall behind, wait for me.” – Bruce Springsteen
