It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Klaus Techentin “Wind That Blows From All Directions”. He is predeceased by his daughter, Michele Stephen; mother, Ingeborg Morgner of Germany; brother, Harald Techentin of Nova Scotia; sister, Helga Morgner of Germany; in-laws, Flora & Angus Merrick of Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba; four sisters & six brothers of Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 57 years, Winona (Happy); son, Paul; good friend, Bryan Koenen all of Calgary; Memory & Shirlee Merrick; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph & Florence Merrick all from Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba; father, Remi Techentin of Nova Scotia; sister, Ilsa Dubovic; nephew, Yuri Dubovic and long time friend, Mike Dubovic; stepmother, Luci Techentin; sister and brother-in-law, Kristina & Ricky of Nova Scotia; brother and sister-in-law, Werner & Melissa of Maryland, USA; and numerous nieces and nephews from Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and the USA.

A Memorial Service will be held for Klaus at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary) on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
City of Calgary by-law mandates that all guests attending a funeral event provide either proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test (within 72 hours) or medical exemption letter.
