Kris Iverson, 44, of Calgary, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2022. Kris was born at the Calgary General Hospital on February 8, 1978, to Arthur and Cindy Iverson. He was raised in Calgary and Airdrie, where he was an alumni of Bert Church High School, class of 1997. Kris attended ABES where he received his degree in Network Administration. He went on to be employed with Talisman Energy, Sundial Cannabis, and most recently, Harvest Medical.
Kris was a giant in the community and loved by all those who were lucky enough to cross paths with his big voice and even bigger personality. He was deeply involved in Cal-East Little League and even coached his children Jayda-Lynn and Karstan. He was also embedded in Rebels Wrestling, as well as coaching basketball and floor hockey. His tireless fundraising efforts were so appreciated by all those who were helped by Kris, whether it was bottle drives, casinos, 50/50 sales, or even walking into a business to ask for sponsorships for team hoodies, Kris did it all. He was a fan of all sports, and could always be heard on the sidelines screaming “Hustle!”, it was one of his favorite sayings.
Kris is survived by his partner, Steph Pendergast; his daughter Jayda-Lynn (Michael) Iverson-Bellemore, and son Karstan Simmet-Iverson; his parents Art and Cindy Iverson; sister Brittany (Chris) Iverson; nephews Bentley, Ethan, and Dylan McNeill; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and dear friends. Kris was predeceased by his chihuahua Bruno, both sets of Grandparents, Uncles Lawrence and George Iverson, Aunty Shirley Iverson, and many other Aunts and Uncles.
