L. Jean Raffan (nee Kilgour)

June 2, 1930 — May 26, 2024

Lillian Jean Raffan passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 93 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Alice Jean Raffan and Barb (Don) Hadford; grandchildren, Lesley (Steven) and Ross (Alisa); great-granddaughter, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; grandson, Alan; great-grandson, Fletcher; parents, Andrew & Maggie Kilgour; siblings, William Kilgour, Glen Kilgour and Margaret Prevost.

Jean was born and raised in Three Hills, Alberta, where she also met and married the love of her life George Raffan. They were blessed with two, almost perfect, daughters in Three Hills and while raising them, she ran Jean's Style Shop and the Circle R Motel. After George's death, she spent a number of years in Vegreville eventually moving to the Calgary area to be closer to family. Jean was athletic and enjoyed participating in sports throughout her life. She was an avid Edmonton Oilers fan. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
