It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Laloge on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 71 years.
She is survived by her husband, Greg, of Olds; daughter, Laura (James) Simpson; granddaughters, Rebecca and Natalie of Edmonton; sister Elaine (John) Collison-Baker of Nanaimo, B.C.; nephew, Dave (Sarah) Baker and Cathy (Martin) Zimmerman; many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Judy was born in Vanderhoof, B.C. and moved with her parents to Winnipeg, MooseJaw, Strathmore, Lacombe and Dawson Creek, before attending the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After two years of university, she took a year off and traveled around Europe with her friends Pat Nelson and Pam Farish. After Europe, Judy returned to U.B.C. and graduated with her degree in Education. She joined Rocky View School Division in the mid 1970’s and taught at Springbank Junior High and later at George McDougall High School in Airdrie. After suffering multiple health issues, Judy took early retirement in 2008.
A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. A special thank you to the entire staff of the Olds Hospital, Tom Baker Cancer Clinic and the Foothills Hospital for their care and compassion.
