Lars Pernolf passed away October 16, 2011, in Vernon, BC, at the age of 64. He is survived by his daughter Liselotte Pernolf (Johan), and two sons Robert Pernolf (Annica) and Daniel Pernolf (Amanda) all of Ludvika, Sweden; five grandchildren; and the mother of his children Ylva Pernolf. Lars was born and raised in Ludvika, Sweden. He was a builder of Timber Cottages, a skill that he brought to Canada with him when he moved to Toronto in 1989. In 1991 he moved to Calgary where he began a career as a driver, first as a courier and eventually to Motorcoach, a job that he loved and felt was his call. It was while on one of his excursions into BC that he suffered a stroke that took his life. Lars was a skilled carpenter and woodworker. He was able to build a variety of items from small planters and furniture to Timber homes. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop in his garage, fishing and watching hockey. He was a loving father and very kind. He will be deeply missed.
