Lois Pearson Winters, beloved wife of Ralph, in peace returned to the embrace of her Heavenly Father, Thursday May 19, 2016 in Calgary, Alberta. A life of kindness, service, and faith were the essence of her 95 years. For Lois, her deepest joy came when surrounded by her family. Although born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Lois held a proud Canadian heritage. Her earliest childhood memories were of overlooking the family homestead on the north face of the beautiful Bow River Valley. Lois married her teenage sweetheart, Ralph, who survives her. Together they shared 75 years of marriage. They began their proud family heritage with their four children Myrla (Bernie Comessotti) and their children Caroll, Bryan, Dale, Dianna, and Anthony; Wayne (Brenda) and their children Aaron, Andrea, Adam; Jay (Kamla) and their children Brooke, Brynn, Falon, Jordyn, Donovan; and Hal (Shelley) and their children Carla, Kiera, Courtney, Landon, Jade; 27 great-grandchildren with 3 more arriving this year. She is also survived by her siblings Cleo, Ethel, Reece, and Beth; and many other extended family members. Lois was predeceased by her parents Jim and Clydia Pearson; and her brother Ken. Lois’ baptism into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1952 was a very significant life event. Here she exercised abundant faith which provided her inner peace. Lois enjoyed multiple activities which included gourmet cooking, knitting, sewing, crocheting, painting, curling, gardening, and service to her family, community and church. Lois leaves behind a rich legacy of faith, devotion, homemaking, hard work, poise, kindness, and strength.
