Lon Raeburn Gardner

Lon Gardner passed away at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 83 years.

Lon is survived by his step-children, Willa (Paul) Brown-Coosemans, Kirt (Brenda) Schnurr & Kevin (Heather) Schnurr; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nephew James Drinnan, and niece Constance Hollenbeck; along with extended family. He is pre-deceased by his spouse, Lorraine Schnurr; parents Layton and Alice (Johnson) Gardner, and sister, Marilyn Drinnan.

Lon was born in Calgary. He lived for some time in the United States where he served in the US Navy aboard the USS Lexington, as well as a firefighter in California. Eventually, he returned to Alberta where he took up employment with the City of Calgary where he later met Lorraine.

Urn interment will take place at the family plot at a later date.
