Haughian, Patricia “Loreen” October 18, 1960 – May 27, 2013
Loreen Haughian passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the age of 52 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tarilyn (Nick) Burrows, Melissa Haughian, Sean (Ena) Haughian all of Calgary, AB, and Tracy (Clem) Sawicki of Faro, YK; grandchildren Kaylee, Morgan and Ethan; mother Jo Woods; siblings, David (Vivian) Woods of Saskatoon, SK, Crystal (Willie) Riley, Charlene Weishaar both of Calgary, AB, and Kelly (Marge) Woods of Bonnyville, AB; uncles, Larry (Debbie) Leflar of Nepean, ON, Bob (Sharon) Leflar of Sherwood Park, AB, Jerry (Kathy) Woods of Victoria, BC, and Jim (Rachael) Woods of Cardinal, Ont; aunts, Sandra Leflar of Regina, SK, and Linda (George) Bertleff of Campbell River, BC; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Keith Haughian; father Blake Woods; and grandmother Rita Leflar. Loreen was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She eventually settled in Lloydminster where she met and married the love of her life Keith. They started their family there and then in 1984 moved to Calgary which has been their home ever since. Loreen loved to spend time with her family, read mystery novels and play computer games. She also had a great passion for rescuing cats and as such did a lot of volunteer work with the Feline Rescue Foundation of Alberta (FRFA). A Visitation will be held for Loreen at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel (16 Avenue & Garden Road / 100 Street NE, in Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery) on Sunday, June 2nd, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held at the same location on Monday, June 3rd, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Feline Rescue Foundation of Alberta (FRFA), www.frfa.ca .
