It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of their most loved one, Lynn, after many, many years of the frustrations of many cancers. She passed away at the age of 68 in their home of lung and liver complications.
Lynn has been the most wonderful wife to Stan for more than forty-nine years having four fabulous and fine children, Howard (Cathie), Leslie (Charles), Krista (Jeff) and Kyle (Christine).
Lynn meant everything to Stan and her family, always being available to listen, encourage, give advice (wanted or not) and love. She was always happy and made you laugh with her outspoken comments and letting you know if today she might wear a bra!
Lynn was raised as an Air Force brat and that she was, until Stan “saved” her in 1964. She was a floral designer for most of her life always anxious to go to work while still being available to her children and attending their school functions and sporting events such as basketball.
She enjoyed her many years of her and Stan being foster parents and contributing to the community in that way.
She loved all music, mostly hits of the 1950’s and some early rap. Her and Stan did a lot of travelling and especially enjoyed the Caribbean and visiting Gail and Earl in Belize.
She loved her new condo, decorating and fussing about everything, and the new friends she made in that community as well.
She loved her family so much and they became her life in her final years along with many special close relatives, brothers Jim and John, sister Gail, nieces, nephews and sisters’-in-law Val and Colleen.
She loved her best friends forever- Cynthia, Rachel and Linda.
She adored her many grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Marina, Dylan, Jade, Caitlyn and the newest addition to come, Neveyah Maylynn. Also her many great-grandchildren; Mason, Skyla, Araya, Ava, and Lincoln. Being the first to bathe Lincoln was a very special honour.
Lynn leaves behind everyone whose life she has touched and now joins her brother Frankie and parents, June and Fred.
At Lynn’s request, no official funeral services will be held. Lynn’s ashes will be scattered at places known to her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at their daughter’s home in Evanston on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 1pm 6pm. For more information please contact Kyle Winter at 403-617-1233 or via email at
