Maria B. Caro

Maria Caro (nee Basbas) passed away February 20, 2017 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 92 years. “Lola M” will be sadly missed by her children, Myrna Caro, Pepe Caro, Romeo and Marietta Caro, Rosita and Gaudencio Carait, Gerry Caro and daughter-in-law, Tina Caro; grandchildren, Myla, Aileen, Tess, Joebar and Omar Caro, Alvin Caro, Romee and Debi Caro, Maria Vidah and Glenn Gonzaga; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Garcia-Caro, Wren and Bronwyn Caro, Alyssa, Nicolas and Lauren Ashley Gonzaga and nine other great-grandchildren and her 2 great-great grandchildren in the Philippines. She will be reunited in heaven with her Lord Jesus and the loving arms of her husband, Ruben; son, Ruben, Jr.; great grandchildren, Michael Gonzales, Ryan Gonzaga and her daughter-in-law, Ellen Caro. Lola M’s gentle and humble presence will be remembered through the wonderful memories so many of us hold in our hearts. We love you Lola M!

A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 15 Templebow Road NE, Calgary AB T1Y 6J3 with Father Godwin Arun Pinto presiding. Family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held at Pierson’s Funeral Service on Saturday, March 4, 2017 beginning at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place in Santa Rosa in the Philippines.
