Mary Ann O’Brien

O’BRIEN, Mary Ann Winifred (nee Brittin) November 7, 1925 August 19, 2013 Mary passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her children, Leslie Dewald and Edward (Lindsey) O’Brien as well as ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mary was born in Moose Jaw, SK. After receiving her nursing training at the Toronto General Hospital, she worked in Grande Prairie where she met the love of her life Larry O’Brien. Mary loved fitness and she became a fitness instructor for the City of Calgary. She remained active and attended fitness classes until she was 85 years of age. Mary will be forever loved and always in our hearts. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the Foothills Country Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Mary while she was with them. A Funeral Service will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Parkland Stake Center (14540 Parkland Blvd. SE) on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foothill Country Hospice Society, Box 274, Okotoks, Alberta T1S 1A5.
