Mary Ellen Bittner (Nee Hunt)

On Friday, April 1, 2022 Mrs. Mary Ellen Bittner (nee Hunt), beloved wife of the late Donald Bittner, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away at the age of 92 years.
Mary grew up on the family farm at Iron Springs, Alberta. Later she moved to the Calgary area. Mary worked for many years for the Government of Canada in the Calgary office of the Unemployment Insurance Department, until retirement. She married Donald Bittner in 1971. Together they enjoyed bowling, making many trips to Las Vegas, and family get-togethers. Mary and Donald both enjoyed tending to their backyard garden. Mary enjoyed taking numerous photos over the years and had a vast collection of photo albums.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her sisters Jean Wright of Innisfail, Alberta, Joyce Harvey of Calgary, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her husband, Donald Bittner, Mary is predeceased by her sister Wilma Stencel; brothers-in-law Carl Stencel, Robert Wright, Rowe Harvey; and nephew William Wright.
If friends so desire, memorials may be made in Mary’s memory to the charity of ones’ choice.
