Mary Ellen Verbeek

Mary Verbeek passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the age of 74 years. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her children William "Butch" (Kristen) Verbeek of Airdrie, AB, and Sara Verbeek of Revelstoke, British Columbia; grandchildren Tyler, Ryder, Sierra, Emmett, and Briar, all of Airdrie, Alberta; and sister Lynn Brown of Sarnia, Ontario. 

Mary was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. She was married in Kingston, Ontario, where she had 2 children. In 1979, they moved to Alberta, where the kids were raised in Edmonton, Calgary, and Red Deer. Once the kids left home, Mary spent time living in The Netherlands and Indonesia. She retired in Airdrie and filled her time with many hobbies. She was always working on projects to give to family and friends. She made Christmas stockings, many quilts, and you could fill an art gallery with all her needlepoint and cross-stitch creations! She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. 

No formal service will be held. Cremation will take place at the Foothills Crematorium.
